October 19, 2016

It really has been a long time since I have posted here.  I have been very busy with my Zentangle® work including doing my first art show.  That hasn't kept me from my card making but just from posting here.  I am showcasing some of my cards that I have made,  including the start of my Christmas cards.  Enjoy...

The first 2 cards were done by tangling on pressed leaves.

This card is being entered in the My Favorite Things sketch challenge

This card was made with a place card from a luncheon that I attended.
It just screamed make me into a shaker card!

I made this card from a napkin from a neighborhood party that I attended.

This card was made from a black & white post card.  I colored it with colored pencils
and gamsol.  I die cut the sentiment and added the stones that I colored with Copic Markers.

I decided to try a negative space die cut card.  I now have the positive cuts to make another card.

Another Zentangle Inspired Art (ZIA) card.

This card is so much prettier in person.  It is actually very sparkly...

This card is also being entered into My Favorite Things sketch challenge.

Till next time...

May 18, 2016

Hi all.  I haven't posted for a month and I thought it was about time...Here are some of my most recent cards.

This card is being entered into the Art Impressions Blog Challenge, Laughing With You

I made this get well card with card stock that I sponged to make it
look like the color of a band-Aid.  I embossed it with the Swiss dots
folder from Cuttlebug.

This card was made using a mask in the center and I used peg stamps from
Rubber Stamp Tapestry.

This is a Zentangle card that I made.  The gem in the
middle is called a Zen Gem and is done with colored pencils.
I love how the gem looks so real!

This card was done with colored pencils. I matted it on to
embossed card stock.

I made this card for the husband of a friend that just
passed away from ovarian cancer.

This is another Zentangle stamp that was gifted to me.

I am going to a wedding next week for our former
associate pastor who got his own church last July.  I wove ribbon and
added the tiny pearls as well as the other embelishments.  It
is an easel card.

I hope you enjoyed seeing my latest work.  Please feel free to leave
me a message and let me know what you think.

Some New Cards...

Hi all.  Here are some new cards that I have been working on lately...

This card was done with Ken Oliver's Color Bursts.

This was hand painted with watercolors.

This card was done with colored pencils.

This card was originally a Zentangle Inspired Art piece that I did.  I reduced it to
make into a card.  I used colored pencils.  The color is much brighter
than it shows here.

This was hand colored and I used fun foam for the "praying" die cut.

Hand colored with colored pencils.  The inside says
"You are the cat's pajamas".

I was gifted several tangled stamps.  This was done with colored pencils.  This is just one of many...

Another tangled stamp with colored pencils.

This was a very old wooden stamp that I got from my advanced stamping
club.  They were getting rid of a lot of stamps from our library that were not
being used.  The inside says "Just another day in paradise".  It was done with colored pencils.
This card has been entered into dragonflyjourneys.blogspot.com's challenge.

Another tangled stamp done with colored pencils.

And yet another tangled stamp.  This is the only one that
I used alcohol markers for.

I used a Stampin' up stamp.  I used colored pencils and put it on the
inside of the card.  I die cut the frame and Happy Birthday and punched
the butterfly.

This is a stamp that was given to me by another friend from my
stamping club.  I used colored pencils.
This card has been entered into dragonflyjourneys.blogspot.com's challenge.

Hope you enjoy my recent work!  I love comments!!

Hi all.  I have several cards to post today.  The first one is for the Imagine That Digi Stamps design team.  This cute image is perfect for a belated birthday card.  I colored the image with alcohol markers and layered it on embossed card stock with a layer of pink.  I added the ribbon that matched the colors as well as the country theme.  This image can be found in the store, here.  It is called A Little Behind and there are some other cute images that are included with it.

Here are some more of my cards that I have been working on lately...

This card folds out and there is a battery operated tea light behind the window.

One of my many Bird Crazy cards.

I thought this sock monkey from Bugaboo Stamps was so adorable.

Hope you enjoyed seeing my cards.

New Cards and a Cute Design Team Card

Today, I am showcasing a cute card from Imagine That Digi Stamps.  I chose the cute punny card called "Love You 2 Pizzas".  The set can be found here.  The set is called Punny Pairs and there are some cute images.  This image was colored with colored pencils.  I added some home-made enamel dots and some punched hearts.  I think you will really like this set.

Here are some more cards that I have made...

This card was done with a watercolor background and I die cut the elements
out of white fun foam.

This card was done with a Stampin' Up stamp in different colors and I
used a silhouette and black bow for the focal image.

This is a fold-out card with a vellum window.  The window is lit up
with a battery tea light.  I love the look!

This is one of my favorite Bird Crazy birds.

I made this card for a friend's birthday.  She has a pet frog so
I thought a frog stamp would be in order.

The background was done with Ken Oliver's Color Bursts.  The silver
elements were done with plumbers tape that I adhered to card stock
and die cut.

Hope you enjoyed seeing my latest products.

Punny Card and some others...

Hi all.  Today I am showcasing a new card from Imagine That Digi Stamps.  This month we are doing "Punny" cards.  I chose the adorable Otter be Mine.  You can find them here.  I have been feeling under the weather lately so I must admit that I didn't put a whole lot of effort into making my card.  Sorry about that.  Anyway, I used colored pencils to color the image and cut out a heart shape with fancy sizzors.  Then I glued it on the cardstock and added washi tape and some sequins.

Here are some more that I have made lately...

Watercolor background with Bird Crazy by Tim Holtz stamps

This is called a Zen Gem.  It is done with watercolor pencil and Zentangle.

 Done with Copic markers.

This one is done with watercolors.

Hope you enjoy seeing my work.  I would love for you to leave me a comment!
